When is the museum open to the public?
The Automobile Driving Museum is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday by appointment only. We are closed Monday. For more information on our private museum tours, email the museum's Executive Director, Laurie Lewis. The Museum is also open for school trips, car clubs and other interest groups when requested.
Where is the museum located?
The museum has recently relocated to its new and expanded facility in El Segundo, California at 610 Lairport Street.
Is there an admissions fee?
Admission to the museum is by donation only. Donations help to maintain the cars and museum.
What is the cost of parking?
Free.
Is there a snack shop at the museum?
Yes with a small variety of snacks. The museum also has a working vintage soda fountain.
Is there a gift shop in the museum?
Yes, our eclectic gift shop has a wide range of rare items in stock including books, die cast models, hundreds of automobile maintenance manuals, collectable's, and nostalgic Candy and glass bottle sodas.
What cars can I take a ride in?
Each Sunday, the museum staffs selects a variety of cars which are made available for visitors to take a short ride. Cars are driven by trained museum docents and follow a specific route. All visitors must review and sign a waiver of liability prior to each ride and abide by the museum passenger rules.
Is the museum wheelchair accessible?
Yes
Are your cars available for theme or period events?
Yes. Most of our cars can be rented for weddings, corporate events, grand openings, parades, commercials and motion pictures. To inquire and/or rent one of our classic, antique or special interest cars, please email the museum's executive director.
Is flash photography allowed in the museum?
Yes. However, no professional photography is allowed without the expressed written approval of the Museum's executive director.
Does the museum accept automobile related donations?
Yes. The museum accepts antique, classic and special interest cars as well as automobile literature and paraphernalia. To donate a car, please complete the donation form and a museum representative will contact you. To donate other items, please contact the museum at 310-909-0950.
How do I become a member and/or donor to the museum?
To join, just fill out our subscription form on our web site.
Whom do I contact if I am interested in becoming a museum docent?
Please send an email that includes your name, address, and phone number. A museum staff member will contact you. Send email to the Museum Volunteer Coordinator.
