All Darrin Victoria four door convertible sedans and four door Darrin sedans were custom ordered and hand built. The early Darrins, 1937 and 1938, were built in Hollywood, CA by Coach Craft on Melrose Avenue. In 1939 Dutch parked his Darrin at the Packard proving grounds where a big dealer meeting was in progress. The admiration for the car resulted in Packard including the Darrin models in its 1940 line of custom models offered to the public. “Glamour Car of the Year” was Packard’s advertising headline…and it worked.

This car was in the 2004 and the 2013 Rose Parade and is frequently requested in local parades.[/column]
