[column grid=”2″ span=”1″] Studebaker brought out a completely new Raymond Loewy design in 1947. The 1948 models were only slightly different, but attracted much attention. The question asked most was “which way is it going”. When looking at this coupe with its three panel wrap around rear glass, it is clear why that question was asked. Through the early fifties, Studebaker with its Loewy designs were very unorthodox to say the least. This same model became known as the Starlight Coupe the following model year.
