During our Grand Reopening Celebration on May 1, 2021, the Automobile Driving Museum held its first Pin-Up Contest for the title of Miss ADM. Of the many beautiful young women who competed, the prize went to a 21-year-old from California, known as Doll Face Jaques.

The winner of our first annual Pin-Up Contest has flawless skin and a sunny demeanor. She works with children while studying towards a degree in Sociology. In her free time, she says that as a firm believer in the creative and grounded mind, she ventures outside with her puppy, and crafts, writes, and meditates.

Generous with her time and spirit, Doll Face Jaques fielded a series of questions from the ADM. Her answers reveal why she is such a fan favorite.

ADM:
Who are your pin-up inspirations?

DFJ:
Jayne Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe, and… my Vava!

Vava is Portuguese for Grandmother. I always loved looking at old pictures of my Vava because of her vintage style. She had the most beautiful coats, dresses, hats, and jewelry which I still have to this day. My mom used to tell me how my Vava would do vintage hairstyles almost every day and loved to do my hair when I was a little girl. She was absolutely amazing and I would be so lucky to become as bold as she was one day.

“Doll Face Jaques has had a passion for dancing since she was 4 years old.”

ADM:
What led you to try out for the ADM Pin-Up Contest?

DFJ:
Pin-Up has become a new passion of mine. I am excited to see where the start of this career will take me. I love modeling and the vintage lifestyle.

I first heard about the ADM through the talented photographer, Mitzi. The museum held a Pin-Up Contest… to raise funds toward the reopening of the ADM. When I first heard about the contest, I had just begun a new chapter in my life. I had gone from experiencing one of the hardest points in my life, to pushing myself to focus on the things that make me happy in order to feel like myself again. Pinup became one of those things. The contest was the perfect way to dive back into life, make new friends, and have some fun!

ADM:
What is your favorite style of clothing?

DFJ:
I really like the clothes of the 1950s and 60s.

1950s fashion was classy and elegant. The 60s were fun and different.

I love gowns but swing dresses are my go-to.

ADM:
…And your favorite car?

DFJ:
My favorite car at the ADM is the 1955 Packard Caribbean convertible because of the beautiful interior.

1955 Packard“The Packard Caribbean at our museum was a gift from legendary billionaire Howard Hughes to actress Jean Peters.”

ADM:
What is your favorite cruising music?

DFJ:
I have a ton! A few that I listen to daily are: “One Way or Another” by Blondie, “Purple Haze” by Jimi Hendrix, and “Bubble Pop Electric” by Gwen Stephani.

ADM:
Fast or slow cars?

DFJ:
Fast is more fun!

Doll Face Jaques will appear next at our Classic Truck & 4×4 Show on October 9th, 2021. Stop by The Zimmerman and say hi to Doll Face Jaques!
